Working Families Party

John,

Over the weekend, a voter asked Jamaal Bowman’s primary challenger George Latimer about the $600,000 Latimer’s campaign has reportedly accepted through AIPAC and right wing donors.

It didn’t go well.

Instead of listening to the voter’s concerns about having his Democratic campaign powered by a far-right organization, Jamaal’s opponent baselessly accused him of accepting campaign money from Hamas.1

This outrageous attack is just the latest in a series of lies targeted at WFP champions who have stood up for a ceasefire to bring peace and security to people in Israel and Palestine. We can expect many of these lies — and worse — to be amplified by AIPAC spending, as they prepare to direct $100 million from right-wing billionaires to their campaign to unseat progressives in Congress.

To counter these attacks and defend WFP champions like Reps. Jamaal Bowman, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Summer Lee, and Cori Bush, we need to raise our own resources now. Can you pitch in today to help WFP defend our champions in Congress as they come under attack?

AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) has spent years supporting extremist MAGA Republicans, including those who tried to overturn the 2020 election.

Now, they’re setting their sights on Democratic primaries, recruiting candidates to run against WFP champions in office and pouring massive amounts of money into their campaigns.

AIPAC and its candidates have also been making absurd and despicable attacks on our champions, including censuring Rep. Rashida Tlaib by claiming she supported “brutal rapes, murders, be-headings, and kidnapping” and using a mistranslated video to accuse Rep. Ilhan Omar, who immigrated to the United States as a child to escape a civil war, of being a “foreign agent” and “terrorist sympathizer.”

While these attacks may be outrageous lies, if voters don’t get to hear the truth, they may end up believing them. And, we could face very real losses in primaries that begin in just a few weeks.

Can we count on your support as we take on far-right lies and defend our WFP champions in Congress? Make a donation of $15 or any amount today.
