Senate Republicans worked through the week to offer significant amendments to the supplemental foreign aid package. Unfortunately, Chuck Schumer refused to allow us the opportunity to improve this legislation and give it a chance of passing the House. While I believe strongly in our need to invest in America’s national security priorities, it’s clear Chuck Schumer is only interested in rushing a partisan, one-sided approach. That is why I voted no on the foreign aid bill.

We've had some great visits from Oklahomans in Washington recently. Thank you to those who took the time to stop by and share their priorities with me. I always leave these meetings feeling inspired and grateful for those working on behalf of our great state.

I recently spent the afternoon with the Oklahoma Ready Mixed Concrete Association. We discussed topics ranging from foreign threats to uncontrolled spending and inflation. I also took questions on specific issues facing the construction industry and what can be done in Congress to address them. After a long stretch in Washington, it's great to be back home and meeting with you all. Thank you for having me.

What we have been seeing from the White House lately is appeasement not strength. I've been clear: Iran only responds to strength. This week, I joined Fox News to discuss the King of Jordan's visit to Washington, D.C. and to weigh in on Joe Biden's special counsel report. Check it out here.

Ash Wednesday marked the start to the Lenten season. May the next 40 days be filled prayer and fasting as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf.
