While GOP-led states were passing book bans, bullying the LGBTQ+ community, and banning abortion, Governor Walz and our DFL majorities provided universal meals for our students, banned the harmful practice of conversion “therapy,” codified abortion rights into state law, and so much more.

Minnesota is drawing a roadmap for 49 other states by doing whatever it takes to be a state that works for everyone. And we’re proving that not only can you campaign on compassion and foresight and decency, you can actually govern that way, too.

But, John, our work isn’t over yet. Donald Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot are going to do everything they can to retake power this year so they can undo our progress and drag us backward.
