Press conference and Council visits. Join us on Tuesday February 20th from 10:45 am to 12:45pm at the Wilson Building.

• At Noon, we're holding a press conference at Noon to announce the launch of 40 weeks of action.
• Before the press conference, starting at 10:45 We'll be visiting DC Council members and the Mayor.

Poverty, the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S., claims over 800 lives daily, surpassing deaths from homicides, gun violence, diabetes, or obesity. We are declaring that the current situation is untenable, demanding urgent change. Thus, we are meeting at the Wilson Building - where DC elected leaders make the decisions that directly impact people facing systemic poverty and the interlocking injustices.
