[2]National Nurses United

The number of COVID-19 cases is increasing rapidly, and we’re already
seeing the massive strains on our health care system. In Atlanta,
intensive care units across the city are already at full capacity, and New
York City hospitals are nearly maxed out.

In the midst of this, it’s absolutely crucial that we protect the nurses
and health care workers on the frontlines so they can continue to save
lives and contain the spread of the virus.

Nurses are organizing across the country to call for the personal
protective equipment (PPE), staffing, and protocols needed to protect
themselves and their patients — and we must do everything we can to
support them.

We need a massive grassroots movement to pressure Congress to do the right
thing. [ [link removed] ]Will you sign our urgent petition to demand that Congress do
everything in its power to protect nurses during this crisis?

[ [link removed] ]Stand with NNU

It seems our leaders in Washington are willing to compromise on the safety
of front line nurses and health care workers — including the CDC.

The science shows that N95 respirators, at a minimum, are necessary
protection against the spread of COVID-19. But instead of trusting the
science, the CDC weakened the PPE requirements putting nurses and patients
alike at risk.

[ [link removed] ]Our fight to #ProtectNurses is critical to ending the COVID-19 crisis,
but it will take all of us to demand the support and resources from
Congress and this administration. Sign our petition today to stand with
frontline nurses.

We need to come together now because all of our lives are at stake. If
nurses get sick, they can’t take care of patients. And if they can’t see
patients, this pandemic will spiral further out of control.

Thank you for using your voice.
