It is crystal clear that President Biden’s lack of mental acuity poses a serious threat to our national security – and the country overall. Last Thursday, Department of Justice Special Counsel Robert Hur released an eye-popping report as part of the Department’s investigation into the President’s mishandling of classified documents. Here are a couple of noteworthy excerpts:
- “In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended ("if it was 2013 -when did I stop being Vice President?"), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began ("in 2009, am I still Vice President?")."
- “Mr. Biden will likely present himself to the jury, as he did during his interview with our office, as a sympathetic, well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
That evening, President Biden held an impromptu press conference and attempted to push back on the Special Counsel’s report, but as the country saw, it was an utter disaster. At the outset, he declared that his “memory is fine”, but minutes later, he referred to the current President of Egypt as the “President of Mexico”. On top of that, he falsely claimed that the Special Counsel’s report did not find that he had previously shared classified information – when he, in fact, did. Are you noticing a pattern?
As I said in my recent interview with Newsmax, the country is sitting in a very precarious position with a president who has acute problems with his memory and cognitive abilities. I remain very concerned as to what may happen – as I imagine you are as well. The full transcript of President Biden’s interview with the Special Counsel should be released immediately. The American people deserve not only the truth, but also unvarnished transparency.
Our Accomplishments
One year ago, I was chosen to lead the House Committee on Education and the Workforce – it has been an honor. My foot has remained firmly on the gas pedal, and the Committee has secured a long list of wins for parents, students, and hardworking taxpayers across the nation. We have passed legislation to protect women’s sports, bring more transparency to medical billing, safeguarding the rights of parents, ending China’s influence and infiltration into universities, and much more. What’s more, we have conducted countless regulatory and oversight actions to protect Americans from the abuses of the Biden administration.
Here's the story that I shared with my colleagues when I ran to serve as Chairwoman of the Committee.
ICYMI: My Latest Interview
Recently, I participated in a Fox Business townhall with parents to talk about the state of education in America. From advancing school choice to protecting parental rights, supporting workforce development to getting politics out of the classroom, I lay out the work that the House Committee on Education and the Workforce has done since day one of our majority. What’s more, I discuss my latest bill, the College Cost Reduction Act that provides a comprehensive solution that will lower college costs for both students and families.
