This Medicare assistance program has proven its worth. That's why it enjoyed bipartisan support from Congress for 15 years. Unfortunately, it's now being used as a bargaining chip.

With all the pressing issues facing Congress right now, we need to make sure the health of vulnerable older adults doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

On behalf of the older adults who will benefit from this assistance: thank you for using your voice!
