In the 20 years since I was first elected, I’ve never accepted corporate PAC money. I've been accountable to people, not corporate PAC special interests. Sure, it ruffles the feathers of DC insiders and I have to work a bit harder. But my mom has been a role model for what it means to work hard for your family and community.

Our democracy is worth fighting for -- that includes our representatives being chosen by voters, not DC insiders. That’s what we're up against and why I’m asking you to help us close our remaining $17,539 mid-month fundraising gap.

The solutions I will champion in Congress include national issues -- protecting democracy, codifying fundamental rights, and addressing the climate crisis -- as well the kitchen table struggles of so many Oregonians -- affordable housing, healthcare, education, and childcare.

I'm very different than the current representative. While she voted to punish doctors who provide abortion healthcare (H.R. 26) and to block access for members of the armed services (H.R. 2670), I will vote to codify our right to reproductive healthcare.
