Join Virtually Dear Neighbor, You have probably read in the news that there are discussions about the possibility of siting one or more casinos in New York City, including possibly in Manhattan. I have been very clear for many years that I oppose casinos, and gambling in general - I consider it a tax on desperation, with no positive societal benefit. But you don't have to take my word for it. Next Thursday, February 22nd, I will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall on The Impact of Casinos on Urban Communities. Come hear about the casino siting process, the fiscal and economic impacts of gaming institutions, and their impact on individuals, businesses, and the surrounding community. See below for more information and registration details.
