Friend,
Starting tomorrow, every Michigan voter will have access to at least 9 days of early voting. This is a new voting right that was created in 2022 with the passage of Prop 2 and is different from our state’s previous “no reason absentee” voting. Here’s what you need to know:
* All Michigan voters will be able to visit an early voting site that must be open for at least 8 hours each day starting tomorrow, February 17th, through Sunday, February 25th.
* When you visit an early voting site, your experience will be similar to when you vote at your polling place on Election Day. After you complete your ballot, you will feed your ballot into a voting tabulator so you can know your ballot will count!
* You can choose the day and time that works best for your schedule, so long as the early voting site is open.
* Many early voting sites will be able to service more voters than a polling place can serve, meaning you could experience shorter lines than the lines on Election Day.
All you need to do is find your community’s early voting site. You can find the address and hours of operation by filling out this form [[link removed]] . Then, plan when you will visit your early voting site!
If you have your absentee ballot already, you can bring your completed ballot with you to an early voting site and feed it into a tabulator.
Happy voting!
