Hello from St. Paul,
?
The 2024 Legislative Session has begun, and the Minnesota House of Representatives will be tackling a number of questionable issues in the weeks ahead.
?
A year ago we had a nearly $20 billion surplus. Not only did the Democrats squander that, but they raised $10 billion in taxes besides and now we?re facing a budget deficit next year. The top priority of session should be addressing their complete mismanagement of the state?s budget, but I expect they?ll ignore this commonsense approach and continue to promote extreme provisions that satisfy their far-left base.
?
I expect a number of controversial topics from the Democrat wish list to take center stage this session, including legally assisted suicide, making Minnesota a sanctuary state, and allowing a new state flag to fly without voter approval. ?
?
There will likely be many other topics debated at the Capitol over the next four months, and I strongly encourage residents to share their thoughts with me on any legislative issue. Please contact me any time by phone at 651-296-9278 or by email at [email protected].
?
Have a good weekend,
?
Greg
