Hey John, Nida told me I could reach out because we are both disgusted at what just happened:
My opponent just claimed I take money from Hamas.
Translated from racism, that means I’m receiving support from folks in the Muslim community who see me fighting for a ceasefire. It’s dangerous and disgusting for my opponent to imply that all Muslims are members of Hamas.
My friend Nida Allam knows far too well the harm Islamophobic rhetoric like this has on our elections. The same Islamophobic dark-money groups that have spent millions to defeat her are now backing my opponent. But Nida and I refuse to let their hateful rhetoric win.
