The nightmare for women and girls in Gaza is getting worse by the day. The crisis is now in its fifth month and we know that in the next 30 days:

690,000
women
and
girls
will
get
their
period.
Almost
none
of
them
have
access
to
periods
products,
sanitation,
or
clean
clothes.
In
fact,
those
who
have
access
to
them
are
taking
birth
control
pills
to
delay
their
periods.

5,500
women
will
give
birth
in
a
war
zone.
These
women
are
hungry,
dehydrated,
and
have
insufficient
access
to
maternal
health
services.
Women
are
being
ushered
out
of
hospital
beds
hours
after
giving
birth
to
make
room
for
those
in
active
labor
or
with
traumatic
injuries.

million
women
and
girls
will
continue
to
face
displacement,
violence,
and
hunger.
These
conditions
have
put
them
in
immediate
risk
of
severe
injury
and
death.
Of
the
more
than
25,000
Gazans
who
have
died
in
this
conflict,
70%
are
women
and
children.
