Talk of 'Serious National Security Threat' Scuttles Vote to Reform FISA Spying Program |
by Ben Johnson |
Conservative critics find it "very bizarre" that sources announced an unspecified "national security threat" just hours before the House of Representatives had scheduled a vote to rein in a warrantless government spy program. Republicans said they had "no confidence" in Biden's foreign policy leadership and his promises not to use the authority to spy on U.S. citizens, including President Donald Trump. In fact, one congressman said a bipartisan faction of Congress aligned with the intelligence community "wants to keep spying on Americans." |

The Biblical Way to Treat Trauma Is to Courageously Face It |
by Joshua Arnold |
Clinical psychologist Dr. Jennifer Bauwens, director of Family Research Council's Center for Family Studies, recently discussed on "Washington Watch" how childhood trauma is a common source of mental illness and may contribute to the growing trend of trans-identifying females perpetrating mass shootings, despite not fitting the profile. In the same interview, she also described a biblical approach to dealing with trauma, in contrast to the ineffective solutions offered by our culture. |

'He Saves Us': Pastor Offers Alternative to Controversial Super Bowl Ad |
by S.A. McCarthy |
A Christian pastor is sharing what he says would have been a more effective message than the "He Gets Us" ad that debuted on Super Bowl Sunday. Jamie Bambrick, the associate pastor of Hope Church Craigavon in Northern Ireland, posted a video to social media on Tuesday entitled "He Saves Us." The pastor said that the "He Gets Us" commercial may have been "perhaps well-intentioned" but ultimately "failed to convey anything of the gospel to the hundreds of millions who saw it." Featuring real-life public figures instead of AI-generated images of people who don't exist, Bambrick's video already has over two million views on Twitter and nearly 300,000 on YouTube. |

'National Security Threat' Designed to Foment Support for Ukraine Bill, Experts Say |
by Dan Hart |
On Wednesday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) issued an enigmatic statement requesting that President Biden "declassify all information" related to a "serious national security threat," without specifying the nature of the threat. After sources later revealed that the "threat" was in reference to intelligence reports that Russia is pursuing putting nuclear weapons in space that could potentially destroy vital U.S. satellites, experts and lawmakers say Turner's statement appears to be intentionally timed to fuel urgency for the House to pass the controversial Ukraine funding bill. |

"Something's changed," agreed Dr. Jennifer Bauwens, director of the Center for Family Studies at FRC, "and it's been in conjunction with the rise of transgenderism." |
