Friend,

These are challenging times for America and the world. In the last few weeks, many of us have made big changes in our lives to protect our health and that of our families, friends, and the public. At the NDRC, the entire staff is working from home and we're evaluating how we'll need to alter our programs. But our work needs to continue because it's so important for our future.

I want to hear from you, friend. Will you share your thoughts about the NDRC's work?

This pandemic makes it clearer than ever that we need elected officials who will put the interests of the people -- not special interests -- first. That's why I believe the NDRC's work must move forward even during this unprecedented time. After all, the 2020 elections are still on schedule to take place in November and redistricting will follow shortly after. Those elections are our last chance to determine who will draw and pass the maps that will be in place for the next decade -- and decide who sets the policy direction of the nation.

I am confident that the American people will rise to meet the challenge of COVID-19, as we have so many times in the past. Our job at the NDRC is to make sure that our elected officials match the empathy and generosity of the people they are supposed to represent. To make that happen, we need elections to take place on a level playing field. That means no barriers to voting for eligible Americans. And it means an end to the extreme partisanship that has kept us from getting things done for too long.

But I want to know what you think, friend. Will you take our short survey?

Thank you,
Eric H. Holder, Jr.
