As the news of the Kansas City shooting hit my eyeballs my first thought was “nobody publicly offer ‘thoughts and prayers.'”  It’s a formula now – mass shooting -> calls for gun control labelling anyone that dares to pray for the victims and their loved ones hypocritical.  But that is cynical on my part.  Insult is not argument and prayer works.
