With our first FEC deadline of 2020 coming up, here’s why we need to keep our eye on the ball.

We know that so many folks are going through a challenging time right now. If you’d like to hit pause on these emails while this crisis is at its worst, just let us know here.

Friend,

I know you’ve all got a lot on your mind—this is an incredibly challenging time for our country and the world. So many of us are feeling anxious, scared, and uncertain. That’s the new—though temporary—normal, and there’s no getting around it.

At a time like this, it can be hard for a campaign like ours to keep our eye on the ball. It’s tough to remember that we started this campaign for a reason—and that reason is even more important today.

Building this campaign still matters—a lot—and with our first FEC deadline of the year coming up, I’m counting on people like you more than ever. If you can, please chip in to help finally close the gap with the other side.

To put it simply, this is a moment where we’ve prioritized our responsibilities to our neighbors over the typical political horse race. We’ve set up an initiative to get help to Kentuckians in need. We’ve canceled all in-person events and are working to adjust our campaign to ones that are entirely virtual. That means we’re now entirely dependent on online donations to make sure we don’t fall behind before we file our first public report of 2020.

Meanwhile, Mitch is on the air attacking me with a negative ad, complaining that I called him out for abandoning his post for three crucial days during a crisis in which every minute matters. I intend to continue holding him accountable—but I need your help to do it.

These FEC deadlines are the next big opportunity for the world to see what we’re building: a powerful grassroots campaign that can send Mitch packing in November.

Let’s show that, no matter the circumstances, we won’t falter or fall behind. Can you chip in before our FEC deadline and help us stay on course?

Thank you,
Amy
