Our team at Future Coalition has been gearing up for an impactful year in 2024!

 

We’re committed to empowering young changemakers and youth-led groups to create community, develop as leaders, and elect progressives to local office. This year, we’ve revamped our current programming to have the biggest possible impact on youth-led movements. (1) Our Future Incubator provides youth-led and grassroots groups with the professional tools, skills, and relationships needed to run successful organizations that expand movements. Through Future Incubator, we offer fiscal sponsorship and consulting from seasoned professionals. Currently, Future Incubator supports the needs of over 20 grassroots organizations!

(2) Community Catalyst is our newest program to match Arizona-based youth leaders with groups working at the intersection of community organizing and climate justice. The 2024 Arizona Legislative Session marks our first round of Community Catalyst fellows, and we’re excited to share more about their work soon!

 

(3) Our Civic program invests in groups that engage young, BIPOC voters in local elections. This year, we’re focusing our efforts on our target states: Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Alaska, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, and Texas. We intend to reach and engage 10 million voters with our Civic work this year.

 

Our Civic team recently launched the Take it Back Network to create a space for grassroots organizations to access trainings, resources, and a shared community. We’ll also be distributing over $100,000 to youth-led groups with the Future Coalition Grant. Applications for both the Take it Back Network and Future Coalition Grant are open now to groups in our target states!

(4) Last but not least, our Youth Direct Action Fund (YDAF) resources young organizers who lead community-focused social justice work. In 2023, YDAF granted out over $425,000 in grants to 152 recipient groups. Currently, YDAF applications are closed – but look out for an update soon when applications re-open!

 

One last thing, Friend! We wouldn’t have the resources or people-power to run our programs, resource youth-led organizations, or make a difference in critical local elections without the support of grassroots donors.
