Senate Candidates in Michigan Defy Transparency Rules, Leaving Voters in the Dark 


Voters have a right to know the financial interests of the people hoping to represent them in electoral office. When candidates fail to accurately and timely file their financial disclosure reports, they deprive voters of vital information. Campaign Legal Center (CLC) has filed ethics complaints to investigate eight U.S. Senate candidates in Michigan for failing to adequately disclose legally required information about their personal finances. 

This is an opportunity for the Senate, which has a notoriously bad track record on ethics enforcement, to show the public that it cares about transparency.
