Hi John,

Earlier this week, the AFL-CIO released their legislative scorecards, rating lawmakers on where they stand on issues like strengthening Social Security and Medicare, freedom to join a union, and improving workplace safety.

And I was incredibly disappointed, but certainly not surprised, to see that MI-10's own John James received a 10% rating.

John James has received a 10% rating from the AFL-CIO

While this adds to an already shameful track record of inaction, one thing is clear: John James isn't right for our community. Please consider chipping in toward my campaign to unseat him>>

John, while the 118th Congress has been one of the least productive in history, it hasn't stopped John James from strengthening his anti-community image. Besides his lackluster rating from AFL-CIO –

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund gave him a 0% rating.

The National Right to Life Committee gave him a 100% rating.

The Gun Owners of America gave him a 100% rating.

The National Rifle Association gave him a 92% rating.

John, John James is unabashedly against workers' rights, reproductive freedom and gun violence prevention. We cannot continue to let him represent our community in Congress.

I'm running a people-powered campaign to be a pro-safety, pro-choice, and pro-labor champion, but I need your help to get the word out to folks across our district. To support my people-first vision for the future, will you join my team with a donation today?

Thank you,
Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
