Our extreme Republican counterparts at the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) just announced their 2024 strategy to defeat our Democratic candidates.

We read it so you didn’t have to. Here’s their plan:

1. Defend Republican strongholds by any means possible – including spreading hateful lies about our democracy
2. Reclaim GOP majorities by pouring millions of dollars into battleground chambers this year to drown out Democrats
3. Force through their unpopular, far-right agenda at every opportunity

The GOP is desperate to regain lost ground – so Democrats need to stay focused. 2022 and 2023 proved that our strategy to invest early and often pays off for our party. But with majority-making special elections in Michigan – one of our most competitive states – on the horizon, we can’t let Republicans pull ahead for even a second.

2024 is the most important election cycle in state legislative campaign history. Nearly every state legislative chamber is on the ballot this November, and Democrats are working to defend ultra-narrow majorities in battleground states like Michigan and Pennsylvania.

If we don’t, our Republican counterparts could gain the seats they need to enact their far-right agenda nationwide, putting abortion access, fair maps, and LGBTQ+ rights all at risk.
