Donald Trump and his lawyers are claiming that he has "total immunity" for any crimes committed as president. They are even going so far as to claim he could order US troops to assassinate a political rival. The claim is preposterous, it's simply meant as a delay tactic, and the Supreme Court shouldn't waste time on motions and filings and arguments -- it should reject it out of hand, let the lower court's ruling stand, and allow the trial to proceed.
