ONE YEAR ago today, I took the stage in Charleston, South Carolina to make an announcement, and I want to remind you of it today…

Americans are ready to move past the stale ideas and faded names of the past…And we are more than ready for a new generation to lead us into the future!

That’s why for the past year, I’ve been doing hundreds of town halls, shaking every hand, and being the last person to leave. It’s why I’ve been reaching every voter I can, getting my message out, and fighting tooth-and-nail to win this race.

365 days ago, I shared my vision and the same vision still remains true today.

I see a strong America full of opportunity that lifts up everyone, not just a select few.

I see a proud America, confident in who we are and what we stand for.

And I see America leading the world in freedom and in peace.

This vision isn’t just mine, it’s the core of our nation’s history. And it’s what called my parents to America over 50 years ago!

I am the proud daughter of legal immigrants. My parents left India in search of a better life, and they found it in Bamberg, South Carolina.

Every day they reminded my brothers, my sister and I that even on our worst days we were BLESSED to live in America.

My parents came to a country that was gaining strength and growing in confidence. But that was then.

Now America is falling behind, our future is slipping, and our leaders are failing.

Right now, in the greatest country in history, we have too many families paying too much for groceries.

We have too many children falling so behind in the classroom.

We have too many small businesses that can’t afford rent. And too many big businesses getting taxpayer bailouts.

We have too much crime on our streets. Too many drugs are flooding our cities. And too few police and border patrol.

This is NOT the America that called to my parents.

And make no mistake, this is NOT the America I will leave to my children.

We have a country to save!

But, I said it last year and I’ll say it again today – we cannot win this fight for the 21st Century if we keep trusting politicians from the 20th Century like Joe Biden and Donald Trump!

America is on a path of doubt, division, and self-destruction. A path of fading patriotism and weakening power.

I’ve always known it would take faith and a willingness to move past the status quo.

It requires us pouring in everything we have each and every day. Which is exactly what we’ve been doing. That’s how we got from a 14-person race down to two.

No one is going to outwork me. No one is going to outsmart me.

And we’ll keep fighting for every inch of this race because the future of our country is too important.

But I cannot win this fight for our future alone. I need YOU on my side every step of the way.
