John,
Last night, I joined Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC to discuss Donald Trump’s repeated promises to abandon our NATO allies and threaten America’s national security.
In case you missed it, Trump has doubled down on his promise to imperil U.S. national security interests, abandon America’s NATO allies, and bow down to Vladimir Putin.
His actions are incredibly dangerous. They undermine not only our national security, but also the very fabric of our alliances and the very future of democracy around the world.
As a Member of Congress and former CIA case officer, I have taken an oath multiple times to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. We must do everything in our power to keep our word to our allies, keep our citizens safe, and maintain our role as a global leader.
We know that former President Trump is ill-prepared and unfit to once again be the President of the United States. With the 2024 election around the corner, the threats to our institutions, our national security, and our democracy are growing. And tyrants, dictators, and terrorists alike are watching to see whether the United States will stand strong — or whether it will retreat on the world stage.
I've dedicated my life to serving our Commonwealth and our country — and I refuse to retreat. Whether as a current Member of Congress or as the future Governor of Virginia, I remain committed to our shared future.
I will always put our safety, our democracy, and our institutions above politics. If you’re with me, I hope you’ll join us today with a contribution to my campaign for Governor:
