** Race + Power Weekly
------------------------------------------------------------

In today’s Race + Power newsletter, we keep the celebration of Black History Month going by highlighting the collective action of Black communities. First, Black women and femme organizers are leading an effort to invest $1 billion in Black girls and gender-expansive youth by 2030. As part of this effort, they organized the fourth annual Black Girl Freedom Week, which kicked off on February 12. Next, successful Black businesses often adopt a path to business formation that is anchored in community. Then, the story of the birth, evolution, and vision of Minnesota’s first Black community foundation. Finally, don’t forget to register for NPQ’s upcoming webinar next Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm (EST).
