Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids. 

John,  I really need your voice today. 

Here’s why:  

• 45 million children worldwide are suffering from wasting – a severe form of malnutrition 
• Food for Peace programs help their families and communities feed themselves  
• But Congress is pushing legislation that would seriously damage it 

Bottom line? If we don’t speak up, MILLIONS of hungry kids could lose their lifeline – so please, send your lawmakers a message.

The Food for Peace program is a lifeline for hungry families, sustaining kids and communities. If Congress undermines this program, millions will suffer – and we won’t stand for it. Let’s make sure they get the message.

John, imagine surviving solely on tea and bread.  

For most of us, that’s unthinkable. For 8-year-old Mozhda*, it’s just life.  

Afghanistan’s years-long drought has stolen all the jobs in her village, driving every last farmer away. Now, her family has nine children to feed on almost no wages.   

Mozhda has watched their health deteriorate over months without steady meals. Malnutrition recently took her baby sister, and the others are growing weaker by the day.  

John , we need you to speak up NOW – before Congress damages critical support for families like Mozhda’s.

Food for Peace – a major international food aid program – has reached millions of kids on the brink of starvation. It provides immediate relief around the world and helps communities feed themselves long-term. 

But right now, Food for Peace is in danger. Some lawmakers are pushing legislation that would seriously damage this lifesaving support, fueling the global hunger crisis.  

783 million people are going hungry, John. Congress needs to hear from you – please, don’t let them destroy Food for Peace.
