Sponsor Spotlight
Cheyenne-High Plains Audubon Society
This month?s Sponsor Spotlight is for the Cheyenne-High Plains Audubon Society and its impact on our public and school programming.
Not only does our local Audubon Society partner with us for relevant Family Day events (see them next month at our Pollinator Party on March 2), but we were also fortunate to receive one of their grants last year! We used these funds to taxidermy a snowy owl to use within our education programs and be accessioned into our permanent collections.
So far, this beautiful bird has been implemented into four educational programs and has helped educate over 1,000 students through our virtual and on-ground field trips. It is also on display in our lobby for the thousands of visitors who can view it on their way into the Museum?s galleries.
Thanks to the Audubon Society?s funding and ongoing partnership, our snowy owl will continue to be an integral part of our public programming and be accessible for future generations to enjoy.
