Amid the mayhem from the COVID-19 pandemic, one industry is not only surviving, but turning massive profits.

John, we want to tell you about Danni.

Danni Askini went to the ER for chest pain, shortness of breath, and a migraine. She was sent home to recover, but would go back to the ER two more times before she was finally diagnosed with COVID-19.

Now, Danni – who is uninsured – is on the hook for a $34,927.43 medical bill.

Unfortunately, Danni’s story isn’t unique. There are 27 million Americans who are currently uninsured, and who are terrified of what a COVID-19 diagnosis could mean for them and their families when they are already struggling to make ends meet.

There are no provisions in the stimulus plan to protect people like her. In fact Trump is still trying to overturn the Affordable Care Act and make sure that his billionaire cronies can cash in on this pandemic.

The Trump administration has given drug companies the ability to set potentially exorbitant prices for COVID-19 vaccines and drugs they develop with taxpayer dollars.1 That means bigger medical bills for people like Danni – and you.

No one should be driven to financial ruin because of massive medical bills fueled by Big Pharma profiteering. Send a message to Congress telling them to stop immoral drug company profiteering.

No pandemic profiteering »

John, we need to take action now. As you read this, Congress is considering a new relief package, but their current draft has NO provisions to stop Big Pharma profiteering.

Big Pharma should not be able to profit from this catastrophe by pushing families further into financial ruin.

If we don’t take action, many of us could wind up with massive hospital bills – like Danni’s – just for the sake of getting the treatment we need to protect our health and possibly save our lives.

We’re calling on Congress to take urgent action to stop the pandemic profiteering. Add your name if you’re with us.

This pandemic proves now more than ever that our health system was not built for a crisis or even for public health, it was built for profit. We deserve better.
