John,
Breaking news: Right now, Wisconsin is poised to be the 16th state to call for a Convention of States to rein in the federal government.
That’s right. During this time of pandemic and uncertainty, the fight for liberty wages on.
The COS Resolution, AJR 77, passed the General Assembly in Wisconsin by a resounding vote of 60-38. Just last week, the Senate version passed its Committee with a vote of 3-2.
Now, we’re on to the final step: The Senate floor vote.
This morning, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers just issued a “Stay at Home” order, but the state legislature is an exception and is planning to convene one last time before ending session for the year.
Our team in Wisconsin is determined to take advantage of this final window of opportunity to get the COS resolution passed in 2020.
We can’t afford to let up the pressure. Our opposition is mobilizing at a national level — flooding Wisconsin Senators with phone calls from across the country. But we know from experience that state legislators are most influenced by the opinions of their own constituents.
That’s why our COS volunteers are taking a more strategic approach.
From the safety of their homes, our unwavering activists are hitting the phones to contact Wisconsin voters, asking them to call and email their own Senators in favor of the COS resolution.
John, millions of Americans are at home and ready to DO something in the fight for liberty. With your support, we can recruit more activists online with targeted social media ads, and engage them in our coordinated phone banking efforts.
Time is of the essence. A few key legislators in Wisconsin are still on-the-fence about COS. Will you help us reach them with even more constituent phone calls before this critical vote? Every dollar counts.
