I’m Josh Stein, and I’m running to be the next Democratic Governor of North Carolina and deliver a brighter future for our state.

North Carolina is where I grew up and where my wife Anna and I raised our kids. I’m proud to call this state home and to have spent decades in public service here, working to advance our shared priorities and keep people safe.

As Attorney General, during my time in the state legislature, and as a consumer protection lawyer, I’ve taken on big fights for the people of North Carolina — and won. I’ve fought to build safer communities, hold corporate wrongdoers accountable, make polluters pay for their messes, and defend everyone’s fundamental rights.

Now, we’re fighting to stop the extremist far-right policies that threaten our state’s future. North Carolina is a great place to live, but my GOP opponents and their allies in the legislature are plotting to pursue policies that would drag us backward.

The National GOP is attacking reproductive health care access, voting rights, and other freedoms — and they see North Carolina as their best chance to enact their agenda.

The polls show me in a dead heat, and our race has been rated a toss-up. National GOP groups are already financially supporting my opponent.

We know this race will be a close one all the way through Election Day — statewide races in North Carolina always are. We can’t risk coming up short.
