We are living in unfamiliar times. Our world has changed rapidly and dramatically since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020. While the coronavirus pandemic has caught most of us by surprise, some in business and government circles have been preparing for just such a pandemic for a long time.
 
Held just two months before the coronavirus outbreak, “Event 201: A Pandemic Simulation” brought together a Who’s Who of corporate and government participants to discuss fictional pandemic solutions such as: countermeasures, trade and travel, finance, communications, and more. Coincidentally, the participants addressed a simulated global pandemic from a coronavirus—initially presenting in pigs, then jumping to humans before spreading rapidly around the world.
