The U.S. World War I Centennial Commission and The Doughboy Foundation will mark its 1,000th performance of Daily Taps [ [link removed] ], at the National World War I Memorial, in Washington, D.C. on Monday, February 19 (President's Day) at 5pm. 

Like all the Daily Taps performances, the 1,000th performance will be available live online, for public viewing. For those local to D.C., the event will take place at the Memorial which is located at 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, between 14th and 15th Streets.

Taps to Sound in Honor of WWI Veteran C. Clarke, Bugler for the 369th Infantry Regiment

The 1,000th sounding of Taps at the National WWI Memorial in Washington, D.C. on February 19 will honor WWI Veteran C. Clarke, Bugler for the 369th Infantry Regiment (15th New York National Guard).

Taps [ [link removed] ] is sounded every single day at 5pm, as a tribute to America's service members and veterans. The National WWI Memorial is the only place in the United States where Taps is performed live, every day, to honor the men and women in our military.
