The Chinese government and economic system have both had flaws
exposed in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, China
believes it will be in a position to reap the benefits of the world's
economic downturn when the disease passes. Dan Blumenthal, director
of Asian Studies at the American Enterprise Institute,
disagrees.
Blumenthal has both served in and advised the U.S. government on
China issues for over a decade in the Department of Defense, on the
congressionally-mandated U.S.-China Economic and Security Review
Commission and at the U.S. Naval War College.
He will discuss what is likely to happen to China's economy and
whether the United States will be able to disentangle from Chinese
supply chains in important areas.
This is a "don't miss" call!
