Preserving Black History in Boston

The African Meeting House is one of Boston's most treasured buildings.
Constructed in 1806, it's America's oldest existing Black church. In
the late '90s, TPL stepped in to preserve the site and help turn it
into an education and cultural center.
200 Acres Protected in Maine

In December, TPL permanently protected 200 acres-coined Talking
Brook Public Land-in New Gloucester and Auburn. Featuring scenic
brooks, waterfalls, and extensive trails, this piece of state public
land unlocks outdoor recreational opportunities while conserving
woodland, wetland, and wildlife habitats.
Clemmons Family Farm in Charlotte-Saved!

Preserving places such as Clemmons Family Farm in Vermont is crucial,
given that less than 0.5 percent of U.S. farms are African
American-owned. We're honored to support the farm, ensuring it remains
a space to celebrate African American heritage, art, and culture well
into the future.
