White House Fails Time Again to Prove Biden’s Mental Capabilities

Townhall: Back in June of 2022, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about President Biden’s physical and mental stamina in a CNN interview. She infamously laughed off the question, calling it unworthy of even being asked, and claimed that she “can’t even keep up with” the president and his vigorous schedule.  The following summer, she said something very similar, again on CNN.  “It is hard for us to keep up with this president,” she asserted, repeating an obvious lie that nobody believed at the time.  Biden is now even older.  Eighty-six percent of voters say he’s too old for the job (Townhall). Joe Concha: For those who continue to defend President Biden and insist he’s sharp/active… here’s his schedule for Tuesday in an election year, and after his horrific week last week when one ABC poll said 86% of voters don’t think he has the mental acuity for the job (X). Guy Benson: Dems insist Biden is sharp & in command. After the special counsel report, WH could have reversed its decision to blow off the traditional Super Bowl interview (the game broadcast ended up being the most-watched television program in the history of America). They stuck with the ‘no interview’ call (X).

Karine Jean Pierre Cannot Say if D.C. is Safe Amid Crime Spree
Spencer Brown: In the long-running saga of President Biden and the White House’s refusal to accept responsibility for, well, anything going wrong in America, Wednesday saw Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre again seek to scapegoat Republicans for the surging violent crime in the Democrat-run nation’s capital. The latest instance of literally unbelievable spin from KJP came after she refused to say whether President Biden thinks the nation’s capital is safe enough for Americans to come visit when asked about still-surging crime in DC (Townhall). Conservative War Machine: KJP won’t say if Washington, DC is safe for Americans to visit, blames violent crime on Congressional Republicans (X).

IDF Strikes at Hezbollah After Deadly Attack in Safed
Spencer Brown: The latest spate of rocket fire from Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon that killed at least one woman and an IDF soldier in Safed, Israel, and injured eight others was met with what the IDF says were counter-strikes carried out by fighter jets that targeted the terrorists’ “military compounds” and “operational control rooms” among other targets, including some belonging to “elite” Hezbollah Radwan Forces (Townhall). Jonathan Schanzer: Israeli Air Force striking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon this morning in response to Hezbollah rockets that killed 2 and injured others (X). Richard Goldberg: The phony Hezbollah deal on the table from the White House and France is for some Hezbollah forces to pull back 10 kilometers from Israel’s border. Ignoring the glaring problems of verification and enforcement, today’s Hezbollah attack on Safed ranged at least 13 kilometers (X).

Radical Democrats Suggest Changing Definition of Crime to Embrace Black Culture
Daily Caller: MSNBC legal analyst Charles Coleman and civil rights attorney Ben Crump suggested in a new NBC documentary that the United States should redefine crime in order to accommodate “black culture.” The group began talking about the criminal justice system under President Joe Biden in NBC’s “Black Men in America: Road to 2024” documentary. Coleman, also a former prosecutor, said he used to constantly deal with the notion or “circular argument” that authorities “go where the crime is” (Daily Caller). Breaking 911: BRILLIANT! Race-baiting attorney Ben Crump says, “We can get rid of all the crime in America overnight — just like that. People ask, ‘How, Attorney Crump?'” “CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF CRIME” (X).

ICE Looks to Release Thousands of Illegals In Order to Preserve Budget
Daily Wire: Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reportedly drafted plans to release thousands of illegal migrants and lower its capacity to detain them. The move comes after Congress tanked a bipartisan border deal that was expected to correct an urgent $700 million budget deficit at ICE. An internal proposal from ICE officials suggests releasing thousands of migrants and slashing detention beds from 38,000 to 22,000 to deal with the budget problem. A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security blamed Congress for failing to pass the border bill (Daily Wire). Washington Post: Record crossings in late 2023 left Department of Homeland Security agencies burning through their budgets for the 2024 fiscal year that started Oct. 1 (Washington Post). Jim Jordan: The Biden administration is considering a new plan to release thousands of illegal aliens from detention into your city. That may include criminals and gang members. They’re not interested in your safety (X)!

NYC Mayor Eric Adams Claims Sanctuary City Laws Restrict His Capabilities to Deal With Immigrant Crisis
Daily Wire: New York Democratic Mayor Eric Adams says he is limited in what he can do to address the migrant crisis that has crippled the city’s welfare system. Adams suggested that New York’s sanctuary city laws and other policies that have allowed migrants to take advantage of the city’s welfare system have curbed his ability to act (Daily Wire). Fox News: Thanks to New York City’s sanctuary city policies, Eric Adams faces a predicament – the city is bursting at the seams and is struggling to find places to house everyone yet – thanks to these policies – he is unable to hand migrants who are repeat offenders over to I.C.E. Thanks to a “right to shelter” rule enacted in the 1980s, he is also legally required to house everyone (Fox News).

Shots Ring Out At Kansas City Chiefs’ Parade Celebrating Super Bowl Win
ABC: One person is dead and nine are injured from a shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, following the parade and rally for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, according to the Kansas City Fire Department. Three victims are in critical condition, five are in serious condition and one has non-life-threatening injuries, officials said (ABC). Reporter Jacob Meikel: Chaos has broken out at the end of the Chiefs Super Bowl parade. Police and military personnel just took off inside of Union Station (X).

CDC Changes Covid Isolation Guidance
Washington Post: Americans who test positive for the coronavirus no longer need to routinely stay home from work and school for five days under new guidance planned by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency is loosening its covid isolation recommendations for the first time since 2021 to align it with guidance on how to avoid transmitting flu and RSV (Washington Post). Townhall: The last change the agency made to its COVID isolation guidelines came in December 2021, which brought the quarantine period down from 10 days to five. But in this post-pandemic phase, most individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 were ignoring even that recommendation (Townhall).

White House Spokesman Asks Media to Change Narrative of Robert Hur Coverage
National Review: The White House is asking reporters to reframe their coverage of bombshell revelations from special counsel Robert Hur’s final report on his investigation into President Biden’s mishandling of classified information. White House spokesman Ian Sams wrote a letter to members of the White House Correspondents Association Tuesday evening informing reporters they have supposedly misstated the findings from Hur’s report by suggesting Hur concluded Biden willfully retained classified documents (National Review). Ian Sams: The Special Counsel report was about 400 pages long, meandering and confusing. That led to a lot of misreporting on its conclusions, namely that it found POTUS “willfully retained” classified docs. That’s wrong. I sent a letter last night to the WH press corps explaining the facts (X).

House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner Sounds the Alarm on Russia’s Space Capabilities
CNN: House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner has made information concerning a “serious national security threat” available to all members of Congress to review, the committee said on Wednesday. While Turner and the White House remained vague on what the threat entailed, two sources and a US official tell CNN the threat is related to Russia. Multiple sources familiar with the intelligence characterized it as “very sensitive.” One of the sources who has seen the intelligence confirmed that “it is, in fact, a highly concerning and destabilizing” Russian capability “that we were recently made aware of” (CNN). Collin Rugg: The national security threat brought forward by House Intel Committee Chair Mike Turner is reportedly a breakthrough with Russia’s space technology. The development “conveniently” comes as the House considers passing a $61 billion aid package for Ukraine (X).
