On 23 February, Survival International will be turning 55 years old! To commemorate our founding, we are launching Act For Survival week, a week in which we will ask our supporters to creatively redo our logo and take action.

Starting Monday, we will be sharing stories of our activism with you. Did you know free climbers climbed Nelson’s Column in London’s Trafalgar Square and hung up a Survival protest banner for the Innu? Or have you heard of the “awáicon” appearing on landmarks in 38 countries to campaign against the devastation of the Awá tribe?

By looking back on some of these amazing actions, we hope to inspire you to take action, and to make our movement stronger by recreating our logo in your own way and sharing it with others.
