CDC Data: More Than 37,000 Deaths Have Been Reported Following COVID-19 VaccinationThe latest VAERS data show 1,626,370 adverse events, 311,196 reports of serious injuries and 37,100 deaths following COVID-19 vaccination.Thirty-seven thousand people—that’s how many people have submitted death reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) following COVID-19 vaccination, and not a single U.S. health agency has sounded the alarm. If you consider that reports to VAERS reflect only 1% of actual adverse events, that we receive no public follow-up regarding reports for serious medical conditions that were reported where people subsequently died, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has misclassified and removed numerous reports, the number is likely a drop in the bucket. Latest VAERS DataThe latest VAERS data released on Jan. 26, 2024, show 1,626,370 adverse events reported following COVID-19 vaccination. This includes 311,196 reports of serious injuries and 37,100 deaths. Of the 37,100 reported deaths, 23,153 cases are attributed to Pfizer, 10,734 to Moderna, and 2,847 to Johnson & Johnson. According to the CDC, VAERS data available to the public only include the initial reports to VAERS. Any updates or corrections to reports during follow-up are used by the government for analysis but are not made available to the public. In other words, we may see an initial report for a heart problem that later leads to death, but we will not see an updated report if a person dies, nor will that death be included in the data. Myocarditis DataAccording to OpenVaers, there are 28,121 reported cases of myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination, primarily affecting people 12 to 51 years of age. This number is also underreported as the CDC uses a narrowed case definition of “myocarditis,” which allows them to exclude cases of cardiac arrest, ischemic strokes, and deaths due to heart problems that occur before one has the chance to go to the hospital or obtain a diagnosis. It also excludes people who “die suddenly.” To meet the CDC’s case definition of myocarditis, people must have had symptoms such as “chest pain, shortness of breath and feelings of having a fast-beating, fluttering or pounding heart, and medical tests to support the diagnosis of myocarditis and rule out other causes.” The CDC website does not state what happens to these cases, but there is no indication they are tracked or included in the CDC’s myocarditis numbers. Although healthcare providers are required by law to report vaccine adverse events to VAERS, research shows very few do. Anyone who experiences an adverse event should report their own injury. We’ll share the data even if U.S. regulatory agencies don’t. You’re currently a free subscriber to Megan Redshaw's Substack.
