In Congress, I am working alongside my Democratic colleagues to fight for working families looking to us for help. This includes:

• Urging House & Senate leadership to waive the 2-year waiting period for Social Security Disability Insurance beneficiaries to apply for Medicare. We must expand access to healthcare for people with disabilities.
• Urging leadership to provide relief for public transportation agencies to protect our communities’ access to transit options & to support our workers.
• Calling on leadership to provide grants rather than just loans to help small businesses get back on their feet.
• Introducing a measure that would prohibit landlords from evicting tenants who fail to pay rent.
