** The Quiet Erasure of America’s True Daughters of the Revolution ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
One of America’s oldest genealogical societies, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), is no longer exclusively female. Men who identify as women are now permitted to join the prestigious group if they can procure an altered birth certificate that lists their sex as female. Multiple members and ex-members of DAR pointed out the sheer irony of this new policy. Most obviously, they pointed out how ludicrous it is to be able to join a group using an altered birth certificate when membership is contingent on accurate biographical records. For those familiar with DAR’s origins, however, the irony cuts deeper. Read More ([link removed])

** Biden’s Climate Tax Credits Set to Double Projected Costs ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
To the surprise of no one—except the Congressional Budget Office, apparently—the cost of President Biden’s climate tax credits has doubled its original projections. The tax credits, which apply to electric vehicle sales and clean energy projects, are now projected to cost $428 billion through fiscal year 2033. Forecasting climate, emissions, and human behavior is a tricky business. It would be wise for regulators to practice humility with their assumptions about what the government can, and can’t do, to “solve” climate change. The IRA may prove a costly lesson. ------------------------------------------------------------

Women have often stayed silent as males have entered women’s spaces and sports — usually out of fear and intimidation or a lack of a powerful role model. That’s why it’s huge news that alumnae of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority have filed a lawsuit against Kappa’s governing officials.

Watch Independent Women’s Law Center Director May Mailman, co-counsel on the case, and IWN members Patsy Levang, Cheryl Tuck-Smith, and Margo Knorr discuss the behind-the-scenes of the case, what happens next, and how you can help.

** Illegal Teachers Union Strikes ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
Illegal teachers union strikes abound in Massachusetts. In Newton, Massachusetts, 11,700 students were shut out of school, sports, fine arts, and after-school programs during a recent 11-day strike. Students who are still suffering from the consequences of prolonged COVID-era school closures just lost two more weeks of school. And now the teachers union in Hingham, Massachusetts, is rallying and may strike soon.

------------------------------------------------------------
So what constitutes an insurrection or rebellion? A full-scale Civil War, certainly. But Jan. 6, 2021? Expanding the “insurrection” definition, even just a little, threatens to unleash unfathomable power across our government. Let's first consider what the Constitution says and then consider the consequences.
