From Detroit to Palestine, we fight together for futures of self-determination, liberation, and dignity.

** When I returned from 10 days in Palestine in 2015, it took me years to recover from what I saw and experienced. And yet, when I asked my comrades in the West Bank what could be done to support them, one said “Liberate Black people in America.” I will never forget that.

** I remember during the height of the water crisis in Detroit when folks were screaming loudly, “Just pay your damn bills, Detroit!" Mothers in Gaza sent a letter to Detroit and Flint telling us they knew what it meant to struggle without water. I will never forget that.

As we enter the Year of the Dragon this Lunar New Year ([link removed]) , we are calling on the profound transformative energy to alchemize colonial institutions and empires into futures rooted in integrity, interconnection, and collective power.

This February we are reflecting on the power of radical love in action. From Detroit to Palestine, we fight together for futures of self-determination, liberation, and dignity.

The field of fiscal sponsorship, since its emergence in the 1950s, has shared roots in the organizing efforts of our ancestors, who against all odds created pathways to resource and sustain revolutionary work that was chronically underfunded, surveilled and disregarded by traditional philanthropy models. We are grateful to contribute to the legacy of leveraging our 501C3 status to provide legal and financial responsibility for the grassroots projects doing world building work on the ground.

We hope you will continue to support this critical work cultivating media for liberation. Stories, films, and archives have lasting and tangible impact on how our communities thrive and how our movements win.
