Another victory — but the fight continues!

Add your name to demand more funding from Congress so that states can protect their elections in 2020!

“Congress just took a step in the right direction by allocating $400 million in election assistance to help states prepare for the 2020 elections. However, this is only a downpayment because much more funding is needed. Congress must provide more resources to states in future stimulus bills to ensure Americans have access to the ballot come November.”

John,

We just learned that the most recent stimulus bill agreed upon by Congress allocates $400 million in election assistance for states to get started on implementing key measures like early voting and voting by mail to ensure that we have safe, secure, and fair elections in November.

This is good news! Thanks to your calls and emails, and the advocacy efforts by Issue One and many others, we’ve won a victory for our democracy!

But we want to be clear — we need to keep fighting because much more money is needed. This funding is just a downpayment on securing the vote in November. Estimates say it will take at least $2 billion for states to be prepared.

Add your name to tell Congress to do more to help protect our elections in 2020!

Issue One and others in the democracy reform movement will continue to press forward and urge lawmakers to do more to help states prepare for the 2020 elections. Every eligible American should have access to the ballot come November.

Tell Congress to include more resources for states to prepare for elections in their future relief bills!
