Last week, Gov. Josh Shapiro gave a long budget address full of left-wing policy priorities that would force future tax hikes on Pennsylvanians.
And, of course, one issue he didn’t emphasize was the need for cheaper energy prices, especially with rising heating costs this winter.
As a candidate, Shapiro promised to take action to lower energy costs. But last fall, the Shapiro administration announced plans to appeal the Commonwealth Court ruling that blocked Pennsylvania from joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).
The court found the RGGI program constituted an illegal energy tax. Polling shows most Pennsylvanians want the state to STAY OUT of RGGI. Yet, the Shapiro administration is trying to revive this tax, which could raise energy costs by as much as 30 percent.
We need to remind the governor of his promise to cut energy costs. Please send Shapiro a message now: Keep Pennsylvania out of RGGI!
