Things are moving fast on the Deep State Surveillance bill which
will reauthorize FISA Section 702.

We are expecting the first vote on the House floor sometime
tomorrow (Thursday) and a final vote potentially later tomorrow
or Friday.

The latest plan is to put H.R. 7320 on the floor with no Fourth
Amendment protections for you and me and allow votes on
amendments to improve it . . . or make it worse.

We've seen enough.

No amendments are going to make a fundamentally dangerous,
anti-constitutional bill acceptable. No matter how much lipstick
they might apply by amendment, this bill will still be a warthog.

It's urgent you call YOUR representative RIGHT NOW at (202)
224-3121 and demand they vote NO on H.R. 7320. Call them today;
call them tomorrow; urge fellow patriots to call, call, call!
Even if it's after hours, call and leave a voicemail.

Things are happening fast, so we will keep you posted as the
situation develops. There's more information in Heather's email
from yesterday (included below) but the bottom line is, call your
representative and tell them to vote NO on HR. 7320!

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and House Majority Leader Steve
Scalise (R-LA) are working hard to RAM through an extension of
Section 702 of FISA.

It's being hashed out behind closed doors without any real
debate. This can be very dangerous without a real privacy
advocate at the table.

And it's why you and I cannot let up now!

All reports indicate there will be a vote in the U.S. House this
week, so the runway is short and the Deep State lobbyists are
working overtime.

The calls to Congress from you and other patriots are making a
difference. And we need to keep the phones ringing in Washington,
D.C. so our representatives know there is no compromise on the
warrant requirement and a ban on the government purchasing our
data.

If you haven't had a chance to call your representative, call
them now at 202-225-3121. If you've already called, call again
and let them know there is word of a compromise and that you
won't stand for it!

Like cockroaches who scurry for cover when exposed to light, our
own government is trying to run and hide right now.

Because of the action of patriots like you, Speaker Mike Johnson
(R-LA) and Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) are backing down
on their plan for a "secret session" of Congress to debate FISA
Section 702 renewal!

That doesn't mean our battle is over.

In fact, it's time to double down and turn up the pressure!

Johnson and Scalise are now pushing a new version of the House
Intelligence Committee's bill - given a new name, "Reforming
Intelligence and Securing America Act," but it does nothing to
rein in the spy state.

In fact, this bill actually expands the government's ability to
spy on millions of Americans without ever getting a warrant.

This reeks of the secret police forces from authoritarian and
totalitarian states like the Stasi, the Gestapo, and the KGB. It
completely ignores the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.


Right now, the Spy State is scared of losing their "crown jewel"
because Congress is hearing loud and clear from Americans like
you!

The Surveillance State lobbyists are losing the battle, and this
latest bill is merely a stunt and a last-ditch effort to
fearmonger the holdouts into caving to the Deep State.

Don't let them get away with it!

This is extremely urgent:

Call your U.S. Representative now at 202-225-3121 and demand they
throw this "new" bill in the trashcan!

INSIST they bring the Protect Liberty Act (H.R. 6570) to the
floor without amendments or delay and dismantle the Surveillance
State - as they promised they would.

And if you haven't already done so, send an e-postcard to your
own representative demanding they oppose the Intelligence
Committee bill and end the warrantless surveillance program.

Unless you and I act NOW, this "new and improved" bill will allow
the Section 702 program to operate much as it always has . . .
without the need for a warrant to spy on Americans and will allow
the FBI to police itself.

Our conversations, texts, browsing history, emails, and the like
will still be collected, filed away, and available to the FBI
without a warrant and without probable cause that a crime has
been committed.

That's why it's so CRITICAL you call your U.S. Representative at
202-225-3121.

INSIST they reject the "Reforming Intelligence and Securing
America Act" and bring the Protect Liberty Act (H.R. 6570) to the
floor without amendments or delay and dismantle the Surveillance
State - as they promised they would.

And if you haven't already done so, send an e-postcard to your
own representative demanding they oppose the Intelligence
Committee bill and end the warrantless surveillance program.

Opposition to warrantless surveillance is a bipartisan issue, so
send your message regardless of who represents you.

I've even been asked by a staffer for a representative who is
usually very friendly to liberty issues, "What is wrong with this
new bill?"

So no matter who your representative is, no matter what party
they come from, no matter how good they are on issues, call them
and tell them to reject the "Reforming Intelligence and Securing
America Act."
