Most people don’t realize how many kids, like 3-year-old Edith, face heart disease. 

Born with congenital heart disease, Edith had already undergone two open-heart surgeries before she was 2 years old. Her parents did everything they could to keep her early childhood as “normal” as possible. But they also had to make tough decisions for her care, such as traveling far for her to see experts and monitoring potential complications from her heart surgeries. 

Edith loves to be imaginative and play with her family, so when it was time to make her wish, she wished for her own playhouse where she could escape and express her creativity.
