Happy Valentine’s Day, John!
Some of you may already know this, but I’m the frontman for Electric Lady Band, a Jimi Hendrix tribute band that plays in some of Connecticut’s most rockin’ venues! When I’m not on the campaign trail, you can find me practicing for a show or writing one of my own songs.
Now, I’m no Taylor Swift, but I am a Lover of Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District. So, I thought I’d show my neighbors and friends some love this Valentine’s Day by writing you all a poem.

From Waterbury to Danbury, and Litchfield's charm,
Our district's beauty causes no alarm.
Waterbury, the Brass City, where dreams ascend,
On this day of love, you're a true friend.
Danbury, the Hat City, pulsing with life,
A symphony of energy, cutting through strife.
Litchfield, oh Litchfield, with your panoramic view,
Your rolling hills and trails, under the sky so blue.
Let's not forget Norfolk, with its scenic delight,
Or North Canaan and Goshen, under the moonlight.
Beacon Falls and Harwinton, are treasures to behold,
Each city, each town, a story to be told.
From every city, every town, to every street and lane,
It's your spirit, your resilience, that we'll always retain.
So, here's to you, the people, the heart of this place,
Together, we'll shape our future, winning the race.
This is more than a district, it's our shared dream,
And together, we make an unbeatable team.
Roses are red, Jahana Hayes is blue,
I will flip this seat, for me and you!
No socialist woes, we’ll defeat Rep. Hayes.
This Valentine’s, help me win this race!
