It’s been another wrenching year. Today marks the sixth memorial since the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where 17 children and educators were killed, and another 17 injured. Two others died in the months that followed because of the unbearable pain of loss.

We fight on in their honor, and in honor of the thousands of others who have lost their lives because of gun violence. We’ve made huge progress. But there’s more to go. There have already been 19 mass shootings in the first six weeks of 2024.

So, today, we’re remembering and honoring those that we lost in the mass shooting at Parkland in 2018—and the thousands who have lost their lives since. And we’re doing what we must – demanding an end to the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our nation.
