RESPONSE NEEDED:
Tomorrow will mark six years since the deadly school shooting in Parkland, FL. We're calling on 6,000 supporters to respond to our live poll before midnight to honor the 17 victims. Will you respond now?

Should Congress ban assault weapons?

John, six years ago tomorrow, a gunman entered the halls of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and killed 14 students and three staff members. He injured 17 others. He used a military-style assault weapon to gun down his victims as they fled the rain of bullets. In just six minutes, he left dozens of families grieving, a community torn apart, and the entire country struggling to make sense of such a horrific tragedy.

That weapon should never have made it into the shooter's hands or the halls of a school. These are weapons of war. And the vast majority of Americans support banning them. But the gun lobby has politicians in their pockets who have refused to side with families over guns. And so, assault weapons have become the mass shooter's weapon of choice. They've been used to kill children all across our country, from Sandy Hook to Parkland to Uvalde.

Together, we can change that, John. If enough people raise their voices, Congress will finally ban assault weapons and make school shootings like Parkland a thing of the past. But right now, we still need another 2,483 people to respond to our urgent survey before midnight tonight. Please, will you submit your response right now to demand that Congress finally get weapons of war off our streets?
