Oswego wine tasting event returns May 4 & 5

Wine on the Fox tickets on sale now!?

Celebrate spring with wine tasting, live entertainment and family activities at the Village of Oswego?s?Wine on the Fox?presented by john greene Realtor. The event takes place on the banks of the Fox River Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 5 from noon to 6 p.m. at Hudson Crossing Park, 65 N. Harrison St. in Oswego.

Returning for its 18^th?year to downtown Oswego, Wine on the Fox offers the opportunity to taste more than 100 wine selections from Illinois wineries, along with craft beer. Local food vendors will offer sweet and savory options to pair with the event?s beverages, as well as non-alcoholic choices.

?We?re excited to pop the cork on spring with our popular wine festival,? Village President Ryan Kauffman said. ?You can?t beat hanging out with family and friends along Oswego?s beautiful Fox River while you sip wine and listen to music.?

The event features musical performances by the GOOROOS, 28 Days, Karla & the Phat Cats, and The PriSSillas. This family-friendly event includes children?s activities such as face-painting and easy access to a large playground.

Proceeds from the event help offset the cost of the Village?s annual events program and provide community amenities throughout the year. The Village?s Fourth of July fireworks, concerts and movies at Venue 1012, the Village?s outdoor amphitheater, are made possible by Wine on the Fox sponsors, participating businesses and attendees.

Tickets and details
Admission to Wine on the Fox is free for all ages. To consume alcohol at the event you must be 21+, show a valid photo ID, and purchase a ticket package.

Ticket packages begin at $20, plus applicable ticketing fees, when purchased online before the event and include a commemorative wine glass.

One ticket may be exchanged for a 1-ounce serving allowing Wine on the Fox guests to taste and discover new favorites. Tickets may also be used for a 5-ounce glass. Additional wine tickets are available for $1 each at the event.

Buy ahead of time to save money on each package and receive additional tickets. Advance Wine on the Fox ticket packages are now available including:

Intro to Wine Package:?$20: Eight (8) wine tasting tickets, wine glass.
Wine Lover?s Package:?$25: Twelve (12) wine tasting tickets, wine glass.
Wine Package for Two:?$45: Twenty (20) wine tasting tickets, two (2) wine glasses and two (2) gift vouchers redeemable at participating downtown Oswego merchants.
New! Private Tent Package for Six: $550 (approximately $90 per person) Private, reserved 10? x 10? tent on the lawn for up to six guests with tables, 60 wine tickets, six stemless wine glasses and a large charcuterie board.?The private tent package is available only on Saturday, May 4. Note: Outside tents are prohibited for all attendees.

Tickets are on sale at www.wineonthefox.com. Advance ticket sales end at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Packages will be available online and at the door on May 4 and 5 for a higher cost.
