All too often in America, hate and gun violence combine with tragic and violent results. We've seen this play out far too many times in recent months, in communities from El Paso to Poway to Pittsburgh.
We cannot mince words. We must name the racism at the core of many mass shootings and confront it head on. In America, no one is safe from gun violence, but black and brown communities are especially at risk.
The Alliance is proud to have worked with Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington on his ambitious plan to address the intersection of extremist white nationalism and gun violence in America.
It is just the type of leadership we sorely need on the national stage.
Gov. Inslee's plan includes a redoubling of efforts to direct the federal government to track, confront, and prosecute extremists in our country. It also includes commonsense gun laws like Extreme Risk Protection Orders, expanded background checks, and a ban on untraceable "ghost guns." At the Alliance for Gun Responsibility we've worked to make these lifesaving policies the law in Washington State, and it's time for the rest of the nation to follow suit.

Today the country is at an inflection point. We face a choice between two starkly different realities. We can choose the status quo, in which hate-fueled, heavily armed extremists terrorize our communities more every year. Or we can choose to keep fighting for change until our national leaders finally take action to protect our schools, our shopping centers, our houses of worship, and all our communities from the terror of gun violence.
We at the Alliance for Gun Responsibility are committed to action in the name of justice, and we need your voice with ours: Will you donate $5 or more today to help us lead the fight for gun reform and save lives from gun violence across the nation?
We can't do this without you,
