I’m sure you’re getting a lot of emails right now asking for your support for something called an end of quarter deadline. If you don’t know what that’s about, let me be the one to explain it to you:
Every quarter, campaigns are required to file an official report of the money they have raised and who donated to them. (If you take a look at Diane’s Federal Elections Commission report from December 31, 2019, you’ll see that not one dime of that money comes from corporate PACs!)
These reports are used as a way to judge the viability of the campaign by press and voters alike. If you fundraise the resources to stay strong, you show everyone how much a fight you’re going to put up to win your race. If you don’t, you risk vulnerability.
So to keep us competitive, I’ve set us an ambitious goal of raising $10,000 more before the end of the quarter. This money is going to help us stay on top of our changing world—you’ll fund virtual hangouts with Diane, help us make even more phone calls, and even help us get into texting our supporters.
